Standard Liege beat RAAL La Louviere 2-0 in the Pro League, as S. Drammeh scored twice in the space of five second-half minutes to break open a match that had been goalless for more than an hour.
Match Summary
For a long stretch this looked like a stalemate. Standard Liege, set up in a 4-3-3, held most of the ball at Maurice Dufrasnestadion but found little space against RAAL La Louviere's 5-3-2. Y. Okou was booked for the visitors before half-time, and A. Trouillet followed for the home side at the start of the second period. N. Verboomen's whistle had still not been followed by a goal when the hour mark passed.
S. Drammeh changed that. He put Standard Liege in front after 68 minutes, B. Nguene the provider, and he added a second five minutes later. Between those finishes M. Wade was cautioned. RAAL La Louviere never recovered the deficit, and the night finished with Y. Okou sent off in stoppage time.
