Explosive Opening Leaves Both Sides Level

Samsunspor and Goztepe SK played out a breathless 3-3 draw in the Super Lig, with every goal arriving in the first 19 minutes. Goztepe struck first when A. Matos converted in the 3rd minute. Samsunspor responded with an 8th-minute equalizer, though the scorer was not available from match data.

Goztepe quickly regained the lead in the 11th minute, again with the scorer unavailable from the data. They extended the advantage further with goals in the 15th and 18th minutes, the latter two also carrying unavailable scorers. Samsunspor mounted a furious response, netting twice inside two minutes at the 18th and 19th marks to level the contest at 3-3 before half-time.

Stats Tell the Story of a Wild First Half

Samsunspor posted the higher expected goals total at 2.61 compared to Goztepe’s 1.9, reflecting their attacking threat despite trailing for long spells. The visitors managed eight corners to the hosts’ four, while both teams hit the woodwork multiple times—Samsunspor twice and Goztepe once.

Shots on target were evenly spread, with three Samsunspor players (Marius Mouandilmadji, Emre Kilinc, Celil Yüksel) registering one each. Goztepe had six players on target, including Alex Matos, Novatus Miroshi, Alexis Antunes and Sinclair Armstrong. Yellow cards were shown more liberally to the visitors, who finished with four compared to Samsunspor’s one.

Second Half Fails to Match Early Chaos

After the frantic opening period, the second half produced no further goals. Samsunspor recorded two assists from Joe Mendes and Faith Kaya, while Goztepe’s sole assist came from Carvalho Costa Janderson. The final whistle confirmed a result that felt inevitable once the early scoring torrent subsided.

Both sides will reflect on a match defined by rapid exchanges and clinical finishing rather than sustained pressure. For the latest Super Lig scores and betting tips, check AltBets live updates.
