Leeds Complete Dramatic Turnaround
Liverpool took a 2-0 lead into half-time but Leeds produced a remarkable comeback to win 4-2 in this Amistosos de Clubes friendly. The visitors scored four second-half goals without reply after the interval, turning the match completely on its head.
Liverpool opened the scoring in the seventh minute when L. Chambers found the net with an assist from M. Kerkez. The home side doubled their advantage five minutes before the break through F. Wirtz, who was set up by J. Frimpong. At that stage Liverpool appeared in control.
Second-Half Collapse for Liverpool
Leeds began their recovery early in the second half. B. Aaronson pulled one back in the 60th minute. Eleven minutes later D. Calvert-Lewin made it 2-2. Just two minutes after that S. Longstaff gave Leeds the lead for the first time. Calvert-Lewin then struck again in the 85th minute to seal the 4-2 victory.
