SK Brann beat FK Kauno Zalgiris 1-4 in Liga Conferência, turning a lively opening into a clear away win once Noah Holm struck twice in the first half.

Match Summary

Niklas Castro had SK Brann in front after seven minutes. FK Kauno Zalgiris answered quickly, Renan Oliveira leveling in the 11th minute. For a short spell the scores were tied, and that was as close as the hosts came.

Brann then seized the rest of the first half. Noah Holm restored the lead in the 25th minute and scored again in the 40th, sending Kauno Zalgiris in two goals down. Yellow cards for Ivan Fiolic and Leo Ribeiro arrived in consecutive minutes before that second Holm goal, and Fabien Ourega was booked two minutes after it.

After the restart the scoring slowed. Nosa Edokpolor was cautioned early in the second half, and Eggert Gudmundsson received Brann's yellow. A fourth Brann goal came in the 85th minute. The scorer was not listed in match data. Aldayr Hernandez was booked in the 90th minute as the 1-4 result was confirmed.

Key Moments

Oliveira's equalizer arrived only four minutes after the opener, which briefly suggested an even contest. It did not last. Holm's two first-half goals were the swing that mattered, stretching a level game into a two-goal lead the hosts never pulled back.

Five yellow cards for Kauno Zalgiris, three of them before half-time, showed a team under pressure after falling behind. The 85th-minute strike, with no scorer listed in the match data, removed the last chance of a late reply.

Match Statistics

Brann's edge was clear in the attacking numbers. The visitors recorded 21 shots to 10 and eight shots on target to two, with expected goals of 3.31 against 1.56. They also led 4-1 on corners. Kauno Zalgiris were shown five yellow cards to Brann's one, and neither side received a red card.
