AS Roma ran away with a 4-0 Serie A win over Fiorentina, powered by a hat-trick from D. Malen and a late goal from N. Pisilli. P. Dybala assisted all three of Malen's finishes as the hosts took complete control of the AS Roma vs Fiorentina meeting at Stadio Olimpico.

Match Summary

The opening spell was patient rather than frantic. Roma broke through after 27 minutes when D. Malen finished a move supplied by P. Dybala. N. Fagioli was booked for Fiorentina soon afterward, and M. Hermoso followed him into the book for Roma, yet the visitors reached the interval only a goal down.

After the restart the game tilted hard. M. Kone collected a yellow, then Malen struck again in the 52nd minute with Dybala again the creator. The same combination produced a third goal around the hour, completing Malen's hat-trick and ending any sense of a contest. N. Pisilli added the fourth in the 86th minute.

Key Moments

Dybala's first assist set the tone, but the second-half repeat was the real swing. Once Malen scored again so soon after the interval, Fiorentina had to chase a side already comfortable on the ball, and they never created a path back into the scoreline.

The hat-trick goal near the hour removed the last tension. From there the match was about how many Roma would score, not whether Fiorentina could recover. Pisilli's late finish underlined how thoroughly the home side had closed the night.

Match Statistics

Roma held 61 percent of the ball and outshot Fiorentina 16 to 8, with eight efforts on target against four. The expected-goals gap was even wider, 2.72 to 0.25, which matched a night when the home side created the clearer chances. Corners went the other way, three for Fiorentina and two for Roma. Each team finished with two yellow cards and neither side saw a red.

What the Result Means

AS Roma are 10th in Serie A with zero points from zero matches played and a goal difference of zero. Fiorentina sit 13th on the same points and matches, also with a goal difference of zero.
